The rumor mill spins on friends and this time we’re catching a really weird bit of information. While we’re completely unsure if this will pan out to be true or not, we’re currently hearing that Mark Ruffalo has currently signed onto join the cast of Thor; Ragnarok.
This is a pretty crazy rumor, but JoBlo seems to think that there’s some legitimacy to this rumor. The website, citing only “inside sources”, tells us that, “Hot on the heels of NYCC, we’ve gotten word from our inside sources that THOR: RAGNAROK will see Chris Hemsworth’s Thor team up with none other than Mark Ruffalo’s HULK for the Odinson’s third solo film, which finds the God of Thunder facing what amounts to the Norse Apocalypse. Only this time out he’ll have some help from a fellow Avenger.”
While that’s crazy enough, it further goes on to suggest that Ragnarok will also take place on world that’s neither Asgard or Earth. According to the website, “Mark Ruffalo joins Tom Hiddleston (also confirmed by our sources) and Jaimie Alexander in RAGNAROK, which we’ve also heard will involve a “distant planet” that is “not Asgard and not Earth.” What does that mean? Certainly the theory will be made that this is where Marvel will work in the long-rumored Planet Hulk storyline, and although we can’t completely verify that, we can’t completely deny it either.”
So, could this really be the way we get Planet Hulk? It would be a weird hybrid of two pretty huge story lines from Marvel Comics, but as far as the cinematic universe is concerned, it could work. Either way, we’re pretty excited to find out if this rumor pans out to be true or not, but only time will tell.
Thor; Ragnarok is set to release on November 3rd, 2017.Follow Us:
