The Flash Season 3 Adds Harry Potter Star Tom Felton

In upcoming news from The Flash camp, we’ve not only learned recently that the title for the season three premiere will carry the Flashpoint moniker, but just today we’ve also learned that the show will be adding former Harry Potter foil, Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) to it’s roster.

Currently all that’s known is that Felton will play another Central City CSI who for some reason suspects that our Barry Allen is a little more than meets-the-eye and we’re not talking Transformers here.

Obviously, if you watched season two (if not, STOP READING THIS) you’ll know that it ended with Barry Allen, having recently suffered the lose of his father at the hands of Zoom, traveling back to the past to save his mother from being killed by the Reverse Flash. In the comics this has a resounding effect that drastically alters the world to a point where the Justice League members are all squaring off against each other, Bruce Wayne never becomes the Batman, and we instead see his father pick up the mantle of the bat.

Sound crazy?! Well it is. It’s also super fun and it kicked off DC’s New 52 continuity, which has just recently itself been undone, but it’s clear that the show will be taking the Flashpoint story in a brand new direction as they don’t have the rights to use the majority of the Justice League.

So where will they take it? It’s hard to say, but it’d be nice if they could somehow use the Flashpoint paradox to someone incorporate Supergirl into the Earth-1 fold since her show is now headed to the CW as well. I don’t know how likely that’ll be or if they’ll just keep her on Earth-3, but I’d be willing to bet that we’ll learn a little bit more about how that’ll go down and what Tom Felton’s role might look like in the months leading up to the shows new season air dates.

CW’s The Flash season 3 is set to air on Tuesday, October 4th 2016.
