We learned earlier this week that Rachel McAdams, star of True Detective Season 2 and the RDJ renditions of Sherlock Holms, would be joining the cast of upcoming MCU film, Dr. Strange. Joining an existing cast of heavy hitters like Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and potentially Mads Mikkelson (TV’s Hannibal), this film is shaping up to be something of a spectacle, which is of course ideal for a film called Dr. Strange.
While currently no official information exists in terms of who McAdams will play, it’s widely being speculated that she’ll be playing at least some kind of love interest –personally we’re thinking Morgana Blessing, occult specialist, author, and potential love interest to Stephen Strange. There are of course other characters she could potentially play, but with still so little known about this film, it’s all just a guessing game.
Either way, this will be a mental and visual spectacle as it explores the worlds of mysticism and magic within the realm of the Marvel Cinematic Universe bringing an entirely new dimension to the table — no pun intended; well okay, maybe a little.
For those who are not familiar with the good Doctor, here’s the official IMDB description of the film:
“After his career is destroyed, a brilliant but arrogant surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under his wing and trains him to defend the world against evil.”
Dr. Strange is set to hit theaters on November 4th, 2016.Follow Us:
