Dear Friends,

The newest trailer for Dr. Strange was just released and it looks so, SO good. It’s truly something that needs to be seen to be believed and even then, I’m not so sure.

There is literally so much crazy business going on that it’s hard to even know where to start, but things seem to be shaping up very well for Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme!

One of the more interesting bits of information that we get from this trailer is a little more insight on the relationship between Baron Mordo and Stephen Strange. It’s certainly very different than I would’ve expected as they appear to be allies for what looks to be a good chunk of the movie. It’s hard to say if he’ll flip sides at some point in the film or if they’re just changing the nature of the character all together, but either way, I’m excited to see the two together.

This trailer also has a bit more in the way of Mads Mikkelsen’s character (rumored to be the sorcerer known as Kaecilius), however, we don’t really learn anything more about him or his role aside from the fact that he’s the clear antiagonist. I have a feeling that his character is going to be a little bait and switch. Early rumors suggested he could be playing some kind of incarnation of Dormmamu, ruler of Marvel’s Dark Dimension, but a few months ago Lego released a playset that had his character listed as Kaecilius, an older and far lesser known villain of Dr. Strange. I’m thinking that the two are going to somehow be tied together or that Kaecilius is going to unleash the monstrous one-eyed Shuma Gorath onto our good doctor, which would actually be pretty amazing.

Either way, I’m excited for this movie and November couldn’t feel further away, but until then, watch this sweet new trailer and check out the awesome new poster below!
