Marvel’s Ant-Man Kicks Butt & Pulls in $400M Worldwide

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinteresttumblr is reporting that the latest installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man, has managed to rake in a staggering $400M at the worldwide box office. The film earned just under $200M domestically, but international ticket sales kicked it up over the $400M mark as of this weekend.

This is a pretty decent win for a film that cost $130M to make, but there’s still no word on an official sequel. We do know that Paul Rudd will be reprising his role in the upcoming Captain American; Civil War and it’s likely that he’ll also appear in the last two installments of Marvel’s Avengers series, Infinity War Part I & II.

For those that saw Ant-Man, the end credits sequence featured a scene from Civil War which revealed a scene with Chris Evans Steve Rogers/Captain America, Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/Falcon, and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, in which Wilson suggests that he knows a guy that might be able to help them out, referring to Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang/Ant-Man.

Stan was actually asked about the scene and whether or not it was a surprise during an interview with Uproxx, to which he had this to say, “It was, yeah. They told us about it two or three days before. They are like, “Oh, by the way, there’s going to be this thing.” And at that point, it was great just seeing any footage from the movie that was shot.”

Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
