Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale Talk Marvel Colors

Today marks the initial launch of the new series by long time Marvel writer/artist team Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. The new title, Captain America: White, sets out to take you on a re-imagined journey through the world of one of Marvel Comics most celebrated and iconic heroes.

According to Marvel’s website, Captain America: White’s official description reads, “From his re-awakening in the present day to his days on the battlefield during World War II, follow CAPTAIN AMERICA as he recalls a special mission during THE BIG ONE! It’s 1941 and the HOWLING COMMANDOS are just looking to kick back and relax…. But CAP and BUCKY are about to make their night a whole lot worse!”

To celebrate the event, Loeb and Sale took some time to reflect on their various color themed works including such classics as Daredevil: Yellow, Hulk: Grey, and Spiderman: Blue. The creators walk you through each of their colorful books while adding in their own personal and often times retrospective commentary.

According to series creator, Jeff Loeb, “Tim and I are very different people, but there are certain touchstones that have made us very close friends. What is undeniable is what hopeless romantics we are and how comics in their own very soap opera way play into that.”
