The folks over at Nerdist today are reporting that actor Peter Sarsgaard will be joining the cast of the upcoming Twin Peaks revival. Currently it’s unknown what role Sarsgaard will play in the film, but the news comes on the heals of several other high profile actors joining the shows ranks.
Not long ago it was announced that Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls, Red Riding Hood) would also be joining the cast in an unspecified role as would Balthazar Getty (The Judge, Brothers & Sisters) and Robert Knepper (Hunger Games, The Flash).
The production crew for the show has been playing things pretty tight to the chest with no actual casting confirmations having been released outside of Kyle “Dale Cooper” MacLachlan. Other actors that have been confirmed as having been seen on set include Madchen Amick (Shelly Johnson), Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs), Peggy Lipton (Norma Jennings), Everett McGill (Big Ed Hurley), Wendy Robie (Nadine Hurley), and Russ Tamblyn (Dr. Jacoby).
Twin Peaks is set to return to the small screen sometime in 2017, but what do you think of these latest casting “rumors”.
