While we all sit in anticipation of the release of SOMETHING from Marvel’s upcoming Captain America; Civil War we actually managed to get a little sneak peak into something entirely unexpected. As casting rumors are still drizzling out of the Dr. Strange camp, it appears that they’ve actually started doing some preliminary work as could be evidenced by this photo posted by Twitter user, @technicalyright, which shows a bearded Benedict Cumberbatch and crew working the streets of Nepal.

Now there’s admittedly a lot of things this shot could indicate as there do no appear to be any cameras or a massive crew of any kind, so it could be that they’re doing some location scouting for when they actually are ready to pursue filming. They could also be doing a few small scale establishing shots that only feature Cumberbatch who is of course playing the films titular role.

Either way, it’s good to see some kind of progress on what should turn out to be Marvel’s most interesting film to date as it’s the first one to venture into the world of mysticism and magic.

In other related Dr. Strange news, it appears that the film is moving along with Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Casino Royal) along with a new cast member, Michael Stuhlbarg (A Serious Man, Boardwalk Empire) according to a report from THR. Neither of the men have been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios and conjucture about who the actors will be playing has run rampant.

So, are you excited to see how Dr. Strange turns out? Do you think there’s a place in the MCU for mysticism and magic or is that going to kill your suspension of disbelief? As always, let us know what you think in the comments section below.
