Entertainment Weekly Ranks Most Powerful Superheroes; Allows You to Do the Same

In this weeks edition of Entertainment Weekly, the magazine took it upon themselves to go ahead and rank the most powerful superheroes. The magazine claims that they ranked 155 popular characters using a 100 point rating system to come up with their list, although they note that not everybody involved in the rating process agreed with the final results.

As far their list is concerned, the top ten (in order from one to ten) include Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Black Panther, and the Flash. Other notable heroes included in the top 20 are Jean Grey, Deadpool, Batgirl, and Green Lantern.

The most interesting inclusion in the top 20 is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who came in at number 11 in the ranking. Buffy is the creation of Joss Whedon and is mostly known for her mid-90’s-early-2000’s TV series which saw her battling the forces of evil run amok on the notorious Hell Mouth. For what it’s worth, Buffy’s a solid top 20 pick in our book.

In addition to EW’s rankings, they’ve also provided an app online that allows you to rank your own heroes using their top 20 list. We’re not so sure that their top 20 is anything even remotely close to what ours would look like, but you’re free to give it a shot using the link below or you can let us know which heroes you think are the most powerful in the comments section below.
